Tell The Story Challenge

Ok I hijacked a challenge I wasn’t nominated for and asked to be nominated. The Eclectic Contrarian put together a new challenge. And as I read the first post and saw the picture he had for his nominees, I couldn’t get the picture out of my mind. I also wrote a poem instead of a story, but I’m ok with being a rebel. 😀

Here’s the rules for you that follow rules:

Write a story about the picture you’re given.

Select 3 nominees

Give them a new picture

Here’s the picture I hijacked:

20190113_234734.jpg

I’ve traveled the path your feet now take you.

Looking up, from down where you are, is your only view.

The valley you’re in is so very low.

The very bottom is where you are, there’s nothing below.

I once was a man with a spear in hand just like you.

But when I gave Him control, He turned me into something new.

A creation, a creature if you will. (1)

He spoke into my heart, “Child be still.” (2)

He caused my steps to be enlarged under me.

That my feet did not slip, as He set me free. (3)

I may stand here victoriously up so high.

But remember that on Him I had to rely.

I no longer need weapons as the likes which you carry.

For now my God fights off each and every adversary.

He followed through with His promise and helped me to defeat…

my enemies until they gave up and ran in retreat.

Two choices are left for you to choose.

Climbing with hands full will cause you to lose

Or climb this mountain giving it all to Him,

Choose good and he will ordain your steps, so that you may delight in Him. (4)

(1) 2 Cor. 5:17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

(2) Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the

(3) 2 Samuel 22:37 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip

(4)Psalm 37:23-25 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

    1. Thanks! I wanted to use the Hinds feet verse but after looking it up a hind is a female red deer. And the deer in the pic is a stag. I think! I can’t wait to see what you come up with for yours if you choose to do it !

  1. Here I was sulking that John didn’t tag me in this, and you go hijacking it….talk about the violent taking it by force. I need some of your courage, sis 😀 😀

And now you tag me and I’m shaking at this picture wondering what to make of it, lol. God help me.
