Princess Sisters

Many don’t get as blessed as I will be

When you, my brother, and God become three.

What God has put together let no man put asunder

My dear new sister…with me, you’ll never wonder.

Growing among only boys we gave ’em our best

Climbing trees, baseball games until the sun set

Tomboys they called us, pretending not to care

Longingly wishing for a sister, secrets to share

My new sister in law to be

I’m so pleased you’ll join our family

I pray I’ll always do good by you

And be a sister you can run to

Call on me any hour, I’ll be there

To take you to our Father The King in prayer

My friend Beth requested a poem, a gift to give her new sister-in-law. I enjoyed being given some inspiration to write about. I hope you enjoy this Beth. I hope the voice I gave you suits you.

  1. Such a wonderful poem. The thoughts and desires are real and the best part is to able to share and be a blessing by hoping to pray for someone who will be added to the family
