Vacay Last Day

Thank you for sharing our journey with us. I hope I didn’t overwhelm you with too many posts or pics this past week. I sure did enjoy sharing our memories with you all. All of your comments were kind and thoughtful.

Yesterday we decided to leave Tennessee a day early and make an 8 hour drive back to Indiana. We stayed in a hotel and were among the first ones in the gate to the Indiana Beach Amusement Park for the day! We are 30 minutes away from home now and I couldn’t be more excited to get home. Here are pics of today.

Indiana Beach is located on Lake Schafer. The park is situated right on the shore of the lake. Some of the rides, you will see, are built right on the water! It’s an old park but still in good shape. Best of all its 1 hour 20 mins from home y’all!

Windows down for 8 hours ruins your hairdo for sure!

Battered deep fried oreos. Yummo

Vanessa! Another ferris wheel. How did I do?

Old timey cars. My husband wants to get one to drive around our property! Lol

We found this guy roaming the docks this morning. He either borrowed a painted shell or someone gave him a makeover

On the way home we spotted a bald eagle. Blurry but cool

    1. You have no idea how many times my kids said that to me! Even my husband suggested we stay another night and go back to the park tomorrow. No way Jose! I’m home now and happy. I will sleep for a long while

    1. Pretty cool indeed. We went on the ferry paddle boat ride and they talked about the history of the lake and the resort before it became an amusement park. I guess al Capone hung out at one of the original houses on this lake. Leave it to Indiana to be.famous because of another gangster. Lol

  2. I’ve enjoyed your vacay pictures. They took me out of my world for a bit.

Deep fried Oreos! Sigh. I’ve been on a gluten-free diet the past couple of years. I feel so much better, I’m not even tempted to go back to a regular diet. Ah, but I can dream.

The bald eagle at the end of your trip was a great crowning touch. It’s been at least thirty years since I’ve seen an eagle out in the wild.

    1. Glad to help you escape for a bit. Bald eagles are rare in Indiana. We drove by, turned around, drive by and my husband whistled at it. I think he was mesmerized by it as it was his first sighting. He would’ve climbed up there if he could. He loves birds

  3. Your vacation pics wowed me Amy! I think you did a great job! And I loved the one of you and your daughter! 😁 I so enjoyed going on vacation with you! And thanks for thinking of me with the Lion and the Lamb pic! 😁 I loved the Ferris wheel!!! Just to spite the devil, I think I would have gotten on that thing lol, and you all know I’m not a fan of heights at all!…I think I’m getting spunky these days! 😂🤣

      1. It did look scary! I’m just tired of letting my fears weigh me down. Fear of heights—claustrophobia—although I don’t know if I want to get over that last one lol. That’s too close for my comfort 😂 We can learn to be spunky together! 😁🤗
