The Virtuous Woman Award

“Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar. She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms. She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land. She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭31:10-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Rules are simple…paste the scripture, add an image, and state why you chose the women you’ve mentioned.

I have 2 honorable mentions that do not have blogs but follow mine. My MIL Alice…you are the epitome of the Proverbs woman. If I have any attributes, it’s only because I am led by your example.

Mandy, my friend, you are in fact a good mama. Having 4 children running underfoot each day can’t be easy. Choosing to homeschool them is wonderful! Your worth is far above rubies. Never forget that my friend and prayer warrior!

WordPress Nominees

First Kathy Wire. She has integrity, character, self-discipline and strength. You will find her an encouragement on WordPress. I hope one day we can meet Kathy! Until then…keep rockin!

Tosin...all the way yonder in Scotland, who seems so close to all whose paths she crosses. I give you this acknowledgement as I think back to your weeks, maybe months, of intentional living. In January, she and her husband stopped the blogging and the rest of their world from spinning, to be intentional in their family. It paid off as she came back stronger. She doesn’t waver in who she is and what she believes.

Charity, You are good at being you! Doing what God has called you to do. Raising a mentally disabled daughter into adulthood is no easy task. Yet you make it sound so easy. I guess its because there’s nothing you love more than being a mama to her and to Dollface. I thank you for that, for it is an encouragement to me when being faced with the task I’ve been given as well. God bless you.

Renee. I see your desires of wanting to see family members saved. It is your upmost dream/desire. And you will pound on heaven’s gates until your prayers are answered. I see the struggle the role of being a mom was at times for you, yet you wouldn’t want it any other way. I don’t know if you rise early to bake bread and weave your linens, like the proverbs woman did…but I do know that most mornings and evenings you can be found on your patio with tears streaming down your face as you intercede for your family.

This is a wonderful award. Brought tears to my eyes to get this nomination today. It couldn’t have come at a better time as I was struggling hard with something internally. I pray this award continues throughout wordpress. Keep the momentum up and pay it forward. Touch a woman’s heart today. She may just need it.

  1. First of all, congrats! You are a wonderful mother and sooo deserve this award! I love to see your posts so filled with love for your kiddos.. It’s no easy task to homeschool your girls-but oh so worth it! The things you said about me touched me so much and brought me to tears! Many days I have felt the least in the kingdom! But you are right, I will keep banging on those doors till the Righteous Judge gives me my petition! 🤧

    1. Don’t forget to bake that bread at 4am and weave your linens in the am too! Lol…sometimes when one reads the proverbs verse, it’s just overwhelming to think any of us could truly stand in those shoes. I have moments. Quick ones where I feel very proverby…but they are fleeting as the next moment my back is against the wall and I’m back to crazy wild woman!

      1. Lord knows if I had to bake bread at 4 a.m., I would probably burn the house down 😂 ! And we won’t even go there with my sewing! Nope! I can hand sew things, does that count! Sew buttons back on shirts. And I haven’t sold any fields yet…but there’s always tomorrow right?! 😆
