Leibster Award!

Thanks to Purple Rose for nominating me for this award.

The Liebster award is for bringing awareness to other new bloggers…….from the Global Aussie: “The earliest case of the award goes as far back as 2011. Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.”

HERE ARE THE RULES:

Acknowledge the blogger that gave it to you and display the award.

Answer 11 questions that the blogger gave you.

Give 11 random thoughts about yourself.

Nominate 11 other bloggers and notify them of their nominations.

Ask your nominees 11 questions.

My random things about me:

1. I’m a lunchlady.

2. I played the clarinet

3. I skipped alot of school so now I read alot of historical fiction to learn history I missed.

4. I’m a good driver and a horrible passenger.

5. I’m still digging essential oils and enjoying learning about them

Questions for me:

Why do you write about the particular subject matter on your current blog?

I always tend to write about desperation, loss and regret because I was there with drugs and shame. I also write about how God takes all of that away. I also enjoy writing and telling off the devil because he gets on my last nerve.

2. What or who motivates you to keep on writing?

Writing heals. Helps. Strengthens me. When I am down, I write and it picks me up.

3.  When is your favorite time of the day?

Oh how I wish I were a morning person. But I’m a nightowl. I look forward to the evenings after all are in bed and I have some time alone.

4.  What part of the country do you live in?

I live in Indiana. I’m a Hoosier, so they say. But no one has really been able to explain what a Hoosier is. Any ideas??

5.  What season is your favorite?

I don’t have a favorite. I like summer for the warm nights when you step out your door in the dark, barefooted and look up at stary sky. I like fall when the leaves crunch under my feet and the waters start to run cold. I like winter when the snow covers the flaws and dirt and washes all white as snow as the bible says. And I like spring when you step out on a springy day and you take a huge breath of fresh warn air.

6.  What is your favorite food?

Anything made of chocolate, dipped in chocolate, layered in chocolate, drizzled with chocolate.

7.  If you have chosen one, what is your life verse from the Bible?

2-Corinthians_5-17.jpgThis scripture says it all!

8.  What is your favorite Bible Story?

My fav is the story of Joseph and the coat of many colors. Everytime I read it I get so excited to get to the part when his brothers finally learn it is him who is feeding and sheltering them.

9.  Who is your favorite Bible character?

I think it would have to be Peter. Although Peter was given a huge responsibility, he struggled with his temper a bit. I can relate. Seeing how God used him in a mighty way even after he denied Jesus, just goes to show you the redeeming power of our Lord.

10.  What do you treasure in your heart most about GOD?

He has become my mother that I never had. He has become the father I wish mine was. He has become my brother and friend. He’s become my everything…AND He did all of that knowing what a sinner I was and am.

11.  How are you HIS hands and Feet in this current season of your life?

Currently I’m an assistant coach for bible quizzing at our church. I’m helping my daughter and 5 other children learn and memorize the word of God! Not always easy, but it’s worth it. I’m also helping with our Doves program (like girl scouts) at our church. We have little girls from 5 to 12 meeting twice a month and just having fun. There are several who come from our van ministry. They come to church without their parents. The impact each time they walk into our church is huge and must not be take lightly.

My nominee:

I had the pleasure of reading and following a brand new blog of a man who has an incredible salvation story. I’d like to invite him to this challenge. And even if he doesn’t take up the challenge, I invite you all to go read and follow his blog and embrace him into our blogosphere community! His name is Phillip and here’s the post where he shares his story.
