Blogger Recognition Award

Thank you Gail at GaillovesGod for nominating me for this award. Look into her blog today for an array of uplifting writings and poems. She has been writing since she was a teenager! And has copies dating back to 1984. How cool is that?

The Rules:

  • Thank the Blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  • Write a post to show your Award.
  • Give a brief story of how your blog started.
  • Give two pieces of advice to New Bloggers
  • Select 15 or more bloggers for this award.
  • Let each Nominee know you’ve Nominated them and leave a link to your post.

I already have answered this award as to why I started my blog in another nomination for this award previously. You can find that answer here. So since I’ve already answered that, I thought I could tell you as to why I continue to blog.

I’m not a social media person. I don’t have snapchat, Instagram or even Facebook. Reason being mostly is there’s alot of those from my past I’d like to keep in the past. Also I don’t think I could keep up with it all. It does keep me out of the loop, but I end up finding “stuff” out on a need to know basis. Sometimes too late but that’s ok.

Blogging is social media. You must keep up with others as they should keep up with you. At first I thought this would be an exhausting task but I have come to look forward to what others have to write about. Sure there’s some stuff better left unsaid, but all in all, in the Christian blogosphere most of it is helpful and encouraging. That is why I continue to blog. I have found some really nice people on here who are willing to listen often more times than those closest to me. And I’m thankful for them. They are my nominees today.

  1. PTL! Congrats on your Blogger Recognition Award, Amy! Thank you for your kind words.
I loved reading your comment about blogging and the bloggers. God has blessed us with an encouraging community.
PS.. God allowed me to actually start writing at 9 years old. That was also my first published poem. God uses sweet fellowships like yours to let me know He is still working in and through me! Me and God love you, sister!

I am blessed to know you and all the other wonderful folk here in the blogging world. Thanks so much for reaching out to me. And, thanks for what you shared here, too. I enjoyed reading it. And, I don’t do Facebook, either. ❤
