Precious Blood

There was a cavernous crack, a split that ran deep in my soul….now overflows with Majestic Blood.

Shredded ends that could no longer fit together- like pangea-flapped in the wind of my heart….now sealed together with Healing Blood.

The space abandonded where the child was to live, for there was no child to takes its rightful place…now filled with the Son’s Blood.

The bank of my mind empty of cheerful, monumental memories, only flashbacks…now filled with Erasing Blood.

My hands were held down and tied by addiction and his henchmen…now are loosed by the Freeing Blood.

My chin was ever in my chest weighed by shame…now is confidently held up by His Uplifting Blood.

My family tree gnarled, scarred with indecency…now flowing with His Royal Blood.

Shall I go on? Shall I tell you of His Comforting Blood? Or His Precious Blood?

Till one spotless lamb, in the form of man, gave His life on Calvary
His was the only blood that could ever set me free
