Flowers by Audrey

Over the summer I had the opportunity to make friends with a wonderful girl named Audrey. She is 14 years old. We were “roomies” in Missouri for a week. I could tell by the way she used her words that she was a writer. She wrote this poem and shared it with me. With her permission I’m sharing it with you. I can’t help but to wonder if Audrey meant to write about flowers…or was she writing about people. See for yourself.

They bloom in different places, they sprout from spring to fall. They even have a scent that captures us all.

They make us seem so happy, they give us so much joy. They make places oh so happy, and hide where it is dull.

Short, tall, skinny, fat and in so many colors, but each has a perfect design that God has given them all.

  1. lol, you’re right: flowers or folks, both bloom, “Short, tall, skinny, fat and in so many colors, but each has a perfect design that God has given them all.” God is so good! Thank you for sharing Audrey with us. 😊
