  1. Congratulations, Amy, on your LOTW Award! I created that award to thank and honor all the writers whose blogs are a beacon of hope in a dark world. This is the first time I hear that song (Craig), I love it! It actually made me tear (I am a very emotional and sensitive guy, what can I say). Thanks for sharing it. I will definitely pass it on to my kids. BTW, your blog is amazing. Keep shining for Jesus!

    1. It’s amazing, really? I’m a newbie and I just love the blogging world. What a way to stay and keep encouraged. Craig makes me cry everytime too! I believe it’s a true story. I had to take a screen shot of the pic of the award, btw. Wasn’t sure how else to access it.

  2. Congratulations, dear Amy! You so deserve this! And thank you with all my heart for nominating me for this wonderful award. I’m not currently accepting awards because my workload this year is so heavy that I am having trouble just keeping up with my regular blog posts… but since this award is such an honor, I’m bookmarking it just in case I have a little breathing room later this year and can accept it and write a post. 😉 Again, thank you with all my heart! You’re awesome. ❤ ❤

    1. I thought it was fun but none but one of my nominees participated, that’s why I asked about the award and challenges. Don’t know if there’s something I should’ve done like asked permission first

      1. Nope! 🙂 You don’t have to ask permission to nominate. Did you reach out to each individual person you nominated? Like under one of their posts let them know that you have nominated them for an award with a link to the post.
If they don’t see your post, they won’t know they are nominated.
Also, awards take time to do, especially depending on the award. I’ve waited several months to do some awards I’ve bee nominated for. Some bloggers have an award free zone, meaning they will not do awards because they personally feel they are showing off. Which is okay. 🙂
Awards are more about letting people get to know your blog, and then giving a shout out to other bloggers, whether they accept the nomination or not 🙂 That’s my take on it at least.

        1. Ok I did reach out with the quote challange. I thought when you link their site to yours they get a notification. I did once but not again as I saw my name on another site but didn’t get the link notice. But I will reach each time if another one comes my way. I think they are fun. So is the daily prompt

          1. I think if you hyperlink they do get notifications, but I also think it deals with their settings. You can still comment on other people’s posts and let them know 🙂 there’s no time limit with nominations which is a great thing.

                1. Oh one more question, I promise. I noticed you do the posts that spoke to you each month. Is this a thing that is done? Or something you came up with? And can I copy you with it? Lol. There’s so many times there’s a post that speaks volumes that needs to be shared for those hungry for inspiration

                  1. It has been a thing done by other bloggers in different ways. I was inspired when one of my favorite bloggers, who no longer blogs sadly, would pick one blogger that really stood out to her during the week.

I decided to call mine Community Spotlight. But I’ve seen some bloggers pick one blogger for the month, discuss how that blogger encourages them, what posts speak out to them, etc. I’ve seen people do top five posts of the month from the community. Or pick a weekly post from the community. There are many ways you can go about this. I called mine Community Spotlight because this year I got the word community on my heart and God is pushing me to encourage others. But there are so many ways to do this post and what to call it, 🙂 and more beyond the ones I listed.

Make it unique to you 🙂 but yeah totally do that if you want to share what others have encouraged you with.
